INTRO
With the A3 mercenary enchant remakes and all the CTC options going around, I’m in a spiral of just making cool chars that put those things to use.
I done several versions of Shockwave druids that abuse the fact that the spell procs a lot of CTC that honestly feel kinda abusive so I get tired of them fast. But this one I’m presenting here I liked because it feels a lot more “fair” and “intentional” while still being super strong.
The synergized Fissure procs are strong and noticeable, but due to the nature of how they work (several Fissure procs dont stack on the same floor tile when they occur), they don’t overlap. That way they feel like a competent suplementary damage source instead of just go balls to the walls blasting everything in sight the same way a Shockwave druid focused on proccing Winter’s Pulse or Infernal Orb would (for example).
This lead me down the road of trying to make the char also have a good physical melee angle to it instead of only mindless stacking some elemental skill damage and just playing like a Fire/Arctic Claw druid on steroids while abusing something I don't think is fully intentional.
The main part of my liking for this build is that it feels like a true 3-way hibrid, which perfectly fits the druid class fantasy: part shapeshifter, part summoner, part elemental spells.
3 times the fun!
SHOWCASE VIDEO
The video is pre-maul rework and pre-phoenix fall inclusion, so a lot more time stacking charges than currently and no Starfall procs.
PROS AND CONS OF PLAYING THE ARMAGEDDON BEAR
REASONS TO PLAY THE ARMAGEDDON BEAR
- True hibrid. This build offers everything you like in druids: zooming around as a ball of fur smacking stuff up, having furry friends tagging along, and a lot of spells with super dramatic effects that do less damage than they look like. xD
- Cool damage profile juggling a few axis of scaling.
- Putting a cool item like to work.
- Putting A3 mercs to work after so much time of neglect.
REASONS NOT TO PLAY THE ARMAGEDDON BEAR
- You dislike having to stack Maul charges and maintaining the buff during gameplay (specially if you go for low level Lycanthropy variations);
- You are lame and think being 100% optimal is the only way to play.

Prio high -enemy res, 1 all skills, high ED% in this order. Prio high life rolls. No phys res penalty, you are melee and it hurts.

High fire% damage and -enemy fire res. 1 fire skills not desirable as it doesnt affect your procs and enchant damage. Prio high life rolls. Low res penalty.

Assorted Charms
5% fire skill damage or -enemy fire resist as it affects all your elemental damage. Shapeshift skills is decent as it double dips Maul and Shockwave, little life.
