Terms of Service

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 and meet any higher minimum age required by applicable law. If you are below the age of legal adulthood where you live, you must have a parent or legal guardian's permission to use the services, and they should review these terms with you.

Provide accurate account information, protect your credentials, and use only accounts you are authorized to access. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. Notify the project team if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not impersonate others or evade account restrictions.

2. Independent community project

D2R Reimagined is an independent community mod project and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Blizzard Entertainment. Diablo, Diablo II: Resurrected, Battle.net, and related names and assets belong to their respective owners. No ownership of third-party intellectual property is claimed.

You must obtain any required game licenses legitimately and comply with applicable game and platform terms. These terms do not grant rights to Blizzard software or assets or override third-party licenses. Code and downloads carrying a separate license remain governed by that license.

3. Acceptable use

• Do not harass, threaten, discriminate against, impersonate, scam, or expose private information about other people.
• Do not submit illegal, infringing, malicious, or deceptive material, or content you do not have permission to share.
• Do not steal accounts, distribute malware, bypass access controls, disrupt services, or use automation that places an unreasonable load on them.
• Do not manipulate competitive results, submit fraudulent saves or item data, exploit bugs for unfair advantage, or bypass ladder, trade, or moderation restrictions.
• Follow the rules published for the community and the particular ladder or feature you use. Report suspected security issues privately to the project team.

4. Your content

You retain any rights you have in builds, messages, listings, feedback, and other content you submit. You grant us a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate, maintain, and moderate the services, consistent with the feature's audience and settings. This license does not transfer ownership to us.

You are responsible for having the rights needed to submit your content. You can request removal through available controls or by contacting us. Necessary backup, legal, security, and moderation copies may remain as described in the Privacy Policy. We cannot recall copies others have already made of public content.

5. Trading, ladders, and virtual items

Trading tools help players communicate and arrange exchanges. We are not a party to player-to-player transactions and do not guarantee another user's identity, statements, items, or performance. Verify an exchange before completing it and report suspected scams.

Characters, virtual items, rankings, progression, and community rewards are game features; we do not promise monetary value, redemption, permanent availability, or a property interest in our services. Ladders and features may have resets, balance changes, eligibility rules, or corrections, and records may be adjusted to address errors or abuse. Any mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

6. Downloads, saves, and availability

Mods, launchers, plugins, calculators, and community data may contain errors or become incompatible with game or platform updates. Back up your saves and other important files before installing or updating software. Server saves and recovery features are not a guarantee against data loss.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features for maintenance, security, legal, or operational reasons. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, permanent hosting, accurate calculations, retained progression, or compatibility with every system.

7. Moderation and termination

We may investigate reports, remove or limit content, correct rankings, restrict participation, or suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms, abuse, security risks, or legal requirements. Where appropriate and practicable, we may give notice or an explanation, but urgent protective action may occur first.

You may stop using the services at any time and request account deletion as described in the Privacy Policy. To ask for review of a moderation decision, contact the project team with your account identifier and relevant details. Termination does not remove obligations or rights that by their nature should survive it.

8. Third-party services

External platforms, authentication providers, embedded content, and linked downloads are controlled by their respective operators and have separate terms and privacy policies. We do not control their availability or conduct. Any payment or donation made through a third-party platform is subject to the terms shown for that transaction and applicable law; these terms do not create a purchase or refund policy for that platform.

9. Disclaimers and limits of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the services and materials are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. We do not warrant that content is complete or accurate or that the services will be error-free or secure.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the project team and contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, saves, progression, or goodwill arising from use of or inability to use the services.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or other protected claims. Mandatory consumer rights and remedies remain in effect. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers or exclusions, so those provisions apply only to the extent lawful in your circumstances.

10. Disputes, changes, and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the mandatory laws of your place of residence require otherwise. This choice does not deprive you of consumer protections or access to courts that cannot lawfully be waived.

Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern informally. This does not limit your right to bring a claim, contact a regulator, or use any mandatory protections available under the law that applies to you. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

We may revise these terms and will update the date above. Material changes will receive additional notice where required, and we will seek agreement where legally necessary. Changes do not retroactively remove rights that have already accrued.

Include enough detail to identify the relevant account, content, or issue without posting private information publicly.
